The private equity fund Abris Capital Partners has taken over a majority stake in Global Technical Group, the largest provider of end-to-end solutions for building management and integrating technical and security solutions in Romania.
Karanovic & Partners, along with Clifford & Chance, advised Abris in this transaction – which is currently conditional upon securing clearance from the anti-monopoly authorities. The Karanovic & Partners legal team, led by Partner* Miloš Jakovljević and Partner* Bojan Vučković, advised on all local law aspects of the acquisition for the jurisdiction of Serbia.
Abris Capital Partners is one of the leading independent private equity fund managers, focused on mid-market opportunities in the major countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Abris will now partner with Fadi Rida and Mihai Stanescu, the two founders of Global Technical Group, to grow the property management operations in Romania.
Following the investment, the company will focus on developing its unique software platforms, expanding them into new industries and markets, as well as continuing business growth by leveraging the company’s deep engineering expertise in design, installation, maintenance and operations.
