Our colleague from Ketler & Partners, member of Karanovic, Senior Associate Vesna Ložak Polanec, participated as a speaker at the Energy and Environment 2025 Conference, held in Brdo Pri Kranju, Slovenia.
The conference brought together leading experts, industry stakeholders, and representatives of public authorities to address current developments and challenges at the intersection of energy, infrastructure, and environmental protection. It was organised by Prosperia, a Slovenian consulting company focused on energy transition and sustainable development.
Vesna contributed to the panel titled “How to Move from Catastrophe to Success in Spatial Planning?” which tackled the challenges of spatial planning and permitting procedures for energy infrastructure projects. Vesna presented on the topic “Challenges Investors Face in Administrative Procedures in Slovenia and the Region”, sharing legal perspectives and practical insights based on her experience advising clients across different regulatory environments. The panel also featured Jure Šimic (HSE Invest) and Dr. Tanja Pucelj Vidovič (Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy).
The session concluded with an interactive discussion involving the speakers, exploring how to overcome regulatory and procedural bottlenecks and move toward more effective and collaborative project implementation.
