The Conference on Judiciary and Business was held on 10 December at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade. The conference is the last in a series of topic-based expert discussions between representatives of the judiciary and the private sector.
The event was organized by AmCham in cooperation with the Serbian Ministry of Justice and the panel discussion gathered Serbian Minister of Justice Nela Kuburović, presidents of Commercial Appellate Court, Commercial Court, Second Basic Court in Belgrade and deputy president of the Administrative Court. Representatives of the High Court Council and the Judicial Academy were participating in the discussions with their comments and views.
The discussion was moderated by Senior Partner Milan Lazić from Karanović & Partners and Тijana Kojović from BDK Advokati.
Тhis event marked an opportunity for the attendees to hear the most important conclusions and recommendations from a series of discussions during 2019 related to the issues of efficiency of the judicial system, consistency of court practice and specialization of judges, as joint interest and goal of both the judiciary and the business sector.
