We are pleased to announce that Karanovic & Partners has been awarded CEE Legal Matters’ prestigious 2020 Deal of the Year Award for our role in Coca Cola HBC’s Acquisition of Bambi from Mid Europa Partners. This is the third year in a row that our firm’s accomplishments are chosen among some of the biggest and most important deals by leading law firms in Central and Eastern European jurisdictions.
The Karanovic & Partners legal team, led by Senior Partner Rastko Petaković, included Partners ⃰ Miloš Jakovljević and Katarina Gudurić, Senior Associate ⃰ Sava Drača, Associate* Milijana Tomić and Junior Associate Katarina Tomić. Acting as sell-side advisors alongside with White & Case and KPMG, the team’s services included legal due diligence and transaction assistance.

Mid Europa Partners acquired Bambi in 2015, together with Imlek and Knjaz Miloš, the leading regional dairy, and natural mineral water players, forming the consumer group – Moji Brendovi. In 2018, Bambi recorded revenues of approximately €80 million.
Based in Switzerland, Coca-Cola HBC is one of The Coca-Cola Company’s largest bottlers; covering 28 countries including Ireland, Italy, Russia, and Nigeria.
Due to the situation regarding the outbreak of COVID-19, the 2020 Deal of the Year Awards Banquet planned is postponed for October.
