On 29 January, our colleagues from Ketler & Partners, member of Karanovic, hosted the traditional Business Compliance breakfast in Ljubljana, Slovenia. With more than 30 attendees from various sectors, including IT companies, financial institutions, and pharmaceutical companies, the event provided valuable insights into key regulatory developments affecting businesses today.
Speakers led engaging discussions on the latest legal requirements and compliance strategies:
- at the opening of the event, Partner Kevin Rihtar provided a brief overview of several important compliance hurdles for 2025,
- Senior Associate Vesna Ložak Polanec then presented data protection and new obligations for data controllers,
- Partner Kevin Rihtar continued exploring the legal compliance aspects of AI usage and sale of AI systems,
- Associate Iva Černe and Junior Associate Maja Zuljan finished covering new cybersecurity obligations under NIS2 and DORA.
The event sparked dynamic discussions and knowledge-sharing, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
