Our colleague Goran Ilej, Senior Partner from Ilej & Partners in cooperation with Karanovic & Partners, and our Senior Associate Andrej Jelenković attended the 6th Adriatic Maritime Law Conference held in Trieste on June 21-22, 2024.
The conference was organised by the Italian Maritime Law Association and took place in the stunning building of the Camera di Commercio (Trade Chamber) in the heart of Trieste. Evening cocktails were enjoyed at the picturesque Lega Navale Italiana.
The conference was attended by officials, professors, and legal practitioners of maritime law from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Albania. A variety of maritime law topics were discussed, ranging from classical subjects like the need for a revision of the 1910 Collision Convention to modern issues such as digital technologies in maritime transport and decarbonisation in the shipping industry.
