We are pleased to support the Serbian Entrepreneurship Foundation (SEF) in new initiatives designed to strengthen small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Serbia.
The first initiative involves SEF’s collaboration with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), which has provided funding of CHF 2 million for SEF’s programs. The second is a partnership agreement between SEF and ProCredit Bank, which has joined the credit guarantee scheme to support selected manufacturing SMEs in Serbia. Both projects are part of the SME Hub initiative, funded by the Swiss Government which helps Serbian micro and SME businesses gain access to the financial resources and expertise needed to meet international standards and integrate into global supply chains.
Through its programs, SEF aims to improve the access of start-ups, micro small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and registered farmers to adequate financial products, by encouraging banks and non-bank financial institutions to provide financial and non-financial services to this client segment. We are proud to be part of SEF’s activities since their incorporation in 2019 by KfW and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce as founders.
Our team on the projects was led by Partner Maja Jovančević Šetka and Associate Dimitrije Ilić.
We are happy to continue contributing to this important initiative, aimed to enhance the competitiveness of Serbian businesses and open up new market opportunities.
