Karanović & Partners held an event dedicated to the latest changes of the Companies Act, Personal Income Tax Law and the Law on contributions for the mandatory Social Security insurance at the Startit centre on 4 March. Over 100 attendees from IT community and various companies and startups joined the vivid discussion.
Partner* Ivan Nonković and Senior Consultant Branimir Rajšić covered a wide array of subjects regarding the taxes, possibilities for stock options, stimulation of employees and other associates via a share in ownership, etc.
Ivan covered in great detail the changes in the Companies Act, and the numerous possible ways to use stock options.
One of the focal points of the event was the so-called Test of Independence, brought about by the amendments to the Serbian Personal Income Tax Law in order to limit the engagement of entrepreneurs in cases where the relationship with the principal is more likely to be regarded as employment.
After the event, the attendees had an opportunity to continue the discussion in a more informal environment and ask our speakers for further clarification regarding the topics covered.
